Powerblanket’s 10x10 Concrete Blanket is an insulated concrete blanket specifically designed to protect concrete pours from extreme temperatures. These 10x10 blankets cover an area of 100 sq ft, making them an effective and manageable solution for curing blankets for concrete in various weather conditions. Our insulated concrete curing blankets are ideal for maintaining hydration and ensuring optimal curing in both freezing winters and scorching summers. The patented design distributes uniform, full-coverage heat across the entire surface of the blanket, preventing hot and cold spots. Use this 10' x 10' blanket to thaw the ground before pouring, providing freeze protection against frost during curing.

Thermal Rating Class

10’x10’ concrete curing blankets come in two different thermal rating classes:
  • Powerblanket: Designed for any general heating applications, surrounded by a rugged vinyl shell, safely raises material temperatures as high as 100 F / 38 C (± 10 degrees F / 3 degrees C) and can be used in temperatures as low as -20 F. This concrete blanket ensures consistent and efficient heating.
  • Powerblanket Xtreme: Made for harsh climates, surrounded by a rugged vinyl shell, safely raises material temperatures as high as 100 F / 38 C (± 10 degrees F / 3 degrees C) and can be used in temperatures as low as -20 F

All of our insulated concrete curing blankets are water-resistant, insulated, and designed to provide uniform heat. All Powerblanket products are ETL certified to UL, CSA, and CE safety standards, ensuring they meet quality and safety requirements.

  • Reach PSI levels in a shorter period than conventional curing methods.
  • Additionally, maintain moisture retention during the curing process for greater strength.
  • Furthermore, protect the ground and subgrade from frost, snow, and ice buildup prior to pouring.
  • Moreover, it ensures compliance with ACI 306 cold weather requirements.
  • As a result, it reduces downtime and scheduling delays.
  • Also, minimize the impact of freeze-thaw cycles and temperature fluctuations during the curing process.
  • Finally, all products are ETL certified to the same high electrical standards as other Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs), such as UL and CSA.

    Curing In-Place Concrete

    What is Curing?

Curing is the process of maintaining adequate moisture content and temperature in concrete during its early stages, allowing it to achieve the properties it was designed for. This process begins immediately after placement and finishing, ensuring the concrete develops the desired strength and durability.

Temperature plays a crucial role in proper curing. The rate of hydration, and thus strength development, is faster at higher temperatures. Ideally, concrete should be maintained above 50°F (10°C) to ensure proper strength development. Additionally, maintaining a uniform temperature throughout the concrete section is key to avoiding thermal cracking and achieving optimal results.
