Description
The WX05 5-gallon Wax Blanket is designed to solve issues presented by traditional wax heating methods. Scorching or having to babysit a double boiler are inconveniences solved by using Powerblanket’s Wax Blanket. Designed to fit a standard-sized 5-gallon metal pail, the Wax Blanket will safely and efficiently melt your wax or glycerin into a usable liquid form with minimal attention on your part. The heating elements in the blanket reach from the bottom edge to the top edge and provide targeted and even heat distribution. Simply wrap it around your bucket, plug it in, and check back every few hours to see the progress.
This Wax Blanket is built for use with 120 volts AC, drawing 1.46 amps thus producing 175 watts. It has a preset thermostat set to maintain a blanket temperature of 200º F / 93.3º C and a product temperature of 185 °F / 85 °C (± 10 ºF / 5 ºC). The Wax Blanket should never be used on a plastic or poly bucket as the high temperatures generated from the pail heater will melt the plastic bucket.
The Wax Blanket keeps your wax at specific temperatures so that it won’t lose nutrients or burn. The patented design of Powerblanket’s 5-gallon Wax Blanket eliminates hot and cold spots by applying uniform full-coverage heat across the entire surface of the container, allowing users to keep their materials at the proper viscosity while remaining at specified thermal levels.
All of our 5-gallon Wax Blankets come as an insulated full-wrap design with cinch straps to secure a tight fit. They’re water-resistant and should only be used on metal buckets. All Powerblanket products are ETL certified to UL, CSA, and CE safety standards.

Soap makers best friend!
Soap makers best friend! I use this for making soap. My recipe has a large amount of hard butters and I would have to reheat the entire bucket a small pot at a time and mix it all back in to make the oils ready to soap with. Now all I do is plug this in and wait a few hours, while I can do other things, and my oils are ready to go! I love this thing. I will probably buy more. I wrapped it around a metal 5 gallon bucket I reused from some bulk oil I bought.
