Powerbanket HB64 model 48”x48”x48” bulk material warmers offer cutting-edge technology for freeze protection, chemical storage, and viscosity control. Thanks to their flexible, easy-to-install design that will effectively, evenly, and reliably heat your materials. Additionally, our patented design eliminates hot and cold spots by applying uniform full-coverage heat across the entire surface of the container. As a result, users can keep materials at the proper viscosity while remaining at specified thermal levels.

48”x48”x48” bulk material warmers come in two different thermal rating classes:
  • Powerblanket - designed for any definitive heating applications, surrounded by a rugged vinyl shell in a wraparound design with a removable top, safely raises material temperatures as high as 145 F and can be used in temperatures as low as -20 F
  • Powerblanket Xtreme (Roofer’s Hot Box)- designed for harsh climates, surrounded by a rugged vinyl shell in a wraparound design with a removable top, safely raises material temperatures as high as 145 F and can be used in temperatures as low as -20 F

All of our 64 cubic foot, 48”x48”x48” bulk material warmers come as an insulated, water-resistant full-wrap design with cinch straps to secure a tight fit. All Powerblanket products are ETL certified to UL, CSA, and CE safety standards.

HB64ROOF: 120 Volt - 1440 Watt - 12 Amps. The Powerblanket® HB64ROOF Roofers Hot Box heater comes standard with an internal preset fixed thermostat which maintains an internal maximum temperature as high as 120°F. The HB64ROOF is fully insulated so it retains heat in extreme weather conditions. Save time and money by protecting your roofing shingles, adhesives, equipment, and materials from freezing without the risk of overheating. Heats pallets of shingles or roofing materials all at once. Heat bulk materials with ease

Powerblanket Bulk Material Warmer – Pallet Heater – Hot Box Heater

Powerblanket Hot Boxes saves money by keeping products from freezing while eliminating the risk of overheating. Additionally, you can easily assemble, disassemble, and reassemble the hot box pallet warmer. Hot boxes work perfectly for cold weather storage, freeze protection, job site heating, transporting materials, remote locations, and winter roofing. Standard Hot Boxes maintain product temperatures between 100°F and 120°F (38°C and 49°C). Moreover, the optional adjustable thermostatic controllers let you precisely control the temperatures.

    Roofing with EDPM

EPDM (rubber) membrane roofing reacts more sensitively to temperature than asphalt (composition) shingles. In fact, EPDM is joined together using an extensive amount of adhesive, and the adhesive must have high temperatures to be pliable enough to install and cure. Furthermore, it is very thick and hard to work with, even at high temperatures; manufacturers recommend temperatures be above 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7 degrees Celsius) for installation. However, that recommended temperature is not very practical unless you have a warm storage area to keep the adhesive warm until it is used.

    Roofing Adhesive Temperature Control

There are many materials needed to complete a successful roofing project. In fact, almost all types of roofing materials utilize adhesives that require warm temperatures during the installation process. Specifically, these adhesives require warm temperatures (heat source) to cure and fasten properly. Otherwise, without proper fastening, a roof will often fail quickly, if not immediately. During the summer, the sun’s heat will properly adhere to most roofing materials: asphalt shingle, EPDM (rubber) single-ply membrane, roll roofing, peel-and-stick roofing, and modified bitumen. However, applying roofing materials in cold winter requires added effort and expense
