Powerblanket Lite line is designed for heating jobs on a smaller scale. These models feature a lower power density than Powerblanket Industrial or Powerblanket Xtreme products. Rest assured that these heaters are the real deal! Keep your drums, barrels, buckets, pails and gas cylinder propane tanks warm in bitter climates so that you don’t lose any production time, saving you both time and money.
On those occasions when you don’t need all the extra strength and durability, however, there’s no use paying for more than you need, right? That’s why we created our Lite line. For those jobs that don’t necessitate the most robust and sturdy application possible, the Powerblanket Lite line is the best answer.
Boost the thermal efficiency of your 5-gallon buckets using our cutting-edge insulated covers for both the top and bottom.
Our insulated covers effectively reduce heat dissipation, offering significant energy savings, while our bucket heaters maintain a constant temperature for your contents.

”
3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better if the bottom was heated.”
“I’ve been using this bucket heater for several months now. It works, but could be better. The heater would be great if they included a heated bottom. As it is, I have to raise the bucket up on blocks so that the bottom of the bucket will have some airspace for heating the bottom. Not the best, but it works. The controller works great, just enter in the temp you want and it takes care of everything.
Would give 5 stars if it included a heated bottom.”

Could be better if the bottom was heated.
Could be better if the bottom was heated. I’ve been using this 5 gallon bucket heater for several months now. It works but could be better. The heater would be great if they included a heated bottom. As it is, I have to raise the bucket up on a thick piece of foam to help retain the heat generated from the heater. Not the best for my specific use, but it works. The controller works great, just enter in the temp you want and it takes care of everything.

Good quality thick bucket blanket
This PowerBlanket for 5 gallon barrel/ buckets is an all-in-one heater (preset to 100F/ 38C), insulator and warming blanket that comes with a digital thermostatic controller which can keep your blanket at a temperatures up to 145F, plus or minus 5 degrees. The controller is easy to set and use, and seems to be fairly accurate. The blanket is thicker than other barrel warmers I have used, and has a padding that feels dense and firm. The double straps around the outside are held with bear trap type metal clamps, and hold well. This doesn’t have a bottom for heating, but neither do any of the other barrel type heating pads I’ve seen elsewhere. The only reason I’m giving this product 3 stars, is that it is extremely pricey compared to getting a heating blanket and digital thermostatic controller separately. I have a controller, for example, that I purchased for my other heating barrel blankets (for 5 gal and 30 gal drums), and the controller has more functions, a lower temperature variance (like 2 degrees vs. 5), is lighter, slimmer and costs about 35 bucks.

This heater worked like a dream and was hassle free
Gets the job done! This heater worked like a dream and was hassle free. The controller is very easy to program. I love how well the heater hugs the bucket and makes for a perfect fit. The heater allows access to the bucket handle which is very handy.I will definitely buy more.

Defeats the freeze
This blanket works well. It is easy to install and use. It does keep a steady stable temperature and seems reasonably durable. the padding is thick without being too bulky. It fits standard five-gallon buckets. I especially like the versatility of the controls. It allows you to set the temperature you want. I have been satisfied with its quality and performance.

Heats-Up Faster!
The price seemed a little steep but I’m glad I tried this 5 gallon pail heater. It heats very quickly using something called Rapid-Ramp heat technology but doesn’t overheat or burn my product. Maintains the 100F I was hoping for. I’m throwing away all my band heaters and pouch warmers and keeping this Powerblanket.

Now I’m Twice as Productive!
Now I’m Twice as Productive! The BH05RR pail heater delivers a consistant level of heat (90 to 100F) to my paint and coatings products. Never overheats and has allowed me to be much more productive, escpecially with winter approaching.

Excellent product for quickly heating chemicals.
Excellent product for quickly heating chemicals. Has saved our bacon more than once, and has paid for itself 10 times over. This little blanket is rugged and packs a big punch. Won’t leave home without it.

No more worries about frozen livestock water
This has a sturdy plastic like exterior that wraps around a drum and straps in place. It does a great job of heating livestock water barrels in very cold temps in OK. No icing over at all. Lasted 2 months so far before it warmed enough where they weren’t needed. Saved a lot of worry when we went out of time.

Precise and Even Heating in a Durable Insulated Mat
“Powerblankets are a great way to heat precisely what you need to heat without worry of uneven, intermittent, overheating or inefficient power use.
I find them to be job site tough, durable and field repairable with the Vinyl repair kit utilizing the HH-66 glue. They are heavy duty and can take a lot of abuse. The machine sewn stitching is very heavy duty. The belts, clasps and reinforcing are securely attached to the blankets. They can take a lot of use.
The thing I notice the most is how even the heat is across the entire mat. Whatever you wrap or cover with it you can count on an even heat spread. If you add a temperature controller like the Beacon controllers with which Powerblankets has teamed up with, you can precisely dial in the temperature control . I like how you can measure the temperature at several points. Inside the blanket, the surface of the blanket or the temp of the product. “

Perfect heating
We used it today to give it a test before we take it with us to go camping and it passed our test with glowing results. It heated up a plastic bucket much faster than I ever expected it to and the water was heated pretty evenly, no big cold spots. I worried about it overheating over plastic but that is not a problem at all so it seems pretty safe and I am thrilled to have it now for a whole variety of uses. If it gives us any problems within the first few months I will come back and edit it since it will take some time to see how it goes but we are really confident that it’s a quality product.

Consistent temps, great materials
The Powerblanket line has obviously been designed and made with quality and care in mind – the materials are nice, look like they will stand up to a lot of use, and even the directions have been written clearly. This model is a good entry level to pail heating blankets. I use these for keeping a consistent temp for naturally derived soaps, waxes, and dermatological products I make. I have noticed significantly less energy usage as I’m not heating things up, waiting for them to cool down, or wasting energy. I also am able to get a lot more done in a faster time frame. So if you need consistent heat for a barrel, this feels like a very energy efficient solution. The temp seems to be incredibly consistent – super impressed.

Get Ready for Winter
We’re getting ready for winter now in July. The plan is to use this to keep the dog’s water from freezing. Judging by the quality, I’d say it’s going to do a great job. A smart buy.

Love this thing!!!
Love this thing!!! I use it to warm my soaping oils and it’s marvelous. I have it wrapped around my buckets and at around $100 it’s way more cost effective than using the water heated tanks (which are like $800). I will be buying more of these for my additional pails.

What a great idea that has so many uses!
What a great idea that has so many uses! I’m a soap maker and a potter. My pottery studio is in my basement. In the winter, fall, and spring it can get pretty cold there. The basement does receive some heating with the rest of the house so it is never close to freezing. It is never warm though (well, only when running my kilns). My buckets of water are usually pretty cold. Putting my hands into those buckets countless times a day makes my hands chapped, cold, and achy. My main source of water is the hose outside. I was really excited about this product with fall coming on strong here right now. The thought of dipping my hands and sponges into warm water is delightful! When I received the pail heating blanket, I immediately filled a new 5 gallon bucket with water. The water was an even 70*. An hour later it was 79*. An hour later it was 84* with an hour after that it was 89*. Now we’re up to 4 hours after filling the bucket and it was at 90*. At five hours it was 92*. At that point I had to leave my studio and when I returned it was 100* at a total of 10 hours from filling. Then it sat overnight and 12+ hours after the last reading it was still at 100*. I would expect that it would have heated faster and held more heat if the lid had been on my bucket – I’m sure I’m losing a lot of heat from the surface. As it is though, I’m doing a happy dance! I’m so EXCITED to use this during this winter and 100* is perfect for me.

It works! Definitely like this a lot.
Helps with regulating temperature, and intended for “light” or home use. Powerblanket Lite is for lighter use applications that don’t require the most robust product: this is great for at home and lighter use. It’s not meant to warm as much as it’s meant to regulate for consistent temperatures and KEEP warm! Great for warming soaps, oils, buckets, liquids, and tanks, the heating coils work well, and I really like this product. My only complaint is the power cord is really, really short. Awesome if power is nearby, sucks if it causes you to run an extension cord. We use this in our basement to keep a tank warm so it regulates better: it works! Definitely like this a lot.

Very good at heating 5 gal buckets
Very good at heating a bucket but does need a human to monitor it. This is a very good heating blanket if you have a 5 gallon bucket you need to keep a bit warmer than the ambient temperature. Great for keeping a Space Bucket outside in cooler weather, or in general if you have a place to plug it in you can keep plant containers from getting too cold – still need protection up top, like a little plastic greenhouse enclosure or something. This isn’t super precise, so it does need some monitoring. It’s rather like like those wine fridges that make the wine 15 degrees cooler than the ambient temperature (except in reverse) so whether it can make something the right temp for what you need depends what temp you are using it in. Anyway, it seems well made and functions as expected.

Works great for bottling honey
I use the blanket to keep my honey warm for bottling — works great!
–
Good buy
Good Buy We use this in our warehouse for the heavy semi liquid oils. Takes about an hour to full warm up a 5 gallon bucket. The cord could of been a bit longer. We use them daily and seems well manufactured.
–
Works great on my honey.
Really worked great on my bucket of granulated honey. Just enough heat to clarify it in 6-8 hours. this blanket is not hotter than hot water. The honey ends up warm not hot. Even better than a light bulb for even heating.
–
Melts my oils overnight, isn’t too warm, and is very easy to use.
Fantastic! Melts my oils overnight, isn’t too warm, and is very easy to use. For those who masterbatch soap oils, this tool is a time saver and worth its weight in gold!

I tested out the PBL05 over the weekend and it worked great! That extra temp was just what was needed to ‘melt’ the honey all the way to the center of the pail. Thanks for your help!

Have had no problems. Arrived on-time.
I use this to heat water for everyday use. Have had no problems. Arrived on-time. I use this to heat water for everyday use. Have had no problems. The water heats up to 108 degrees Fahrenheit in the 5 gallon plastic container. I am going to time how long it takes to get to that temperature and post it. I leave it on overnight and use it in the morning. I loosely place the top on it to keep the heart in and slow evaporation into the air.

Great product for a weird need!
“I actually use this for a very unusual purpose. I raise bonsai, and have to winter some of them in a small vinyl greenhouse. The greenhouse naturally maintains a temperature only about 4 degrees above the outside temp. So far we’ve had a very cold season, and its only January!
Finding a safe, inexpensive way to keep the temp in the greenhouse above freezing, has been a challenge. It’s a very humid environment, so electronics have to be sealed. Gas or propane is not good either. I found this, and to put it around a sealed 5gal pail of water. The heated bucket consistently puts off enough heat that I think my trees my survive the winter. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s the best I’ve found short of building a serious greenhouse.”

This product works great for warming buckets of honey.
This is a great product for warming the buckets of honey prior to pouring them into jars it’s not as quite as fast as I would like it to be but never less great product.

Good purchase
Even when the air temp was 40 °F, this heater held mash at 74 degrees. Good purchase.

Works To Heat Water For Bathing In a Pinch!
Works To Heat Water For Bathing In a Pinch! I’m actually using this to heat water in a bucket for showering. I have to do without a water for a while as I correct what turned out to be a horrible install job by a contractor about a month ago. Because of my schedule it’s taken me several weeks, working an hour here and an hour there, to work through it. This heater blanket appealed to me because of the low power consumption, making it safer to leave plugged in without monitoring, which I couldn’t ever do with one of those 1000W submersion heaters. It takes a long time to heat the water, but as I shower in the morning and my wife in the evening, it works out. Taking a shower with just five gallons of water isn’t the best, but I have learned that it can be done.

Soap makers Buddy!
Soap makers Buddy! I use this PBL05 pail heater for making soap. My recipe has a lot of hard butters and I would have to reheat the entire bucket a small pot at a time and mix it all back in to make the oils ready to soap with. Now all I do is plug this in and wait a few hours, while I can do other things, and my oils are ready to go! I love this thing. I will probably buy more. I wrapped it around a 5-gallon bucket I reused from some bulk oil I bought. I wish it had a red light somewhere on it so I would know it is powered on but other than that, this pail heater is excellent!

Awesome product!

Works ok
I use this 5-gallon pail heater to heat water in a grow tent. Does not get all that warm and takes a long time to warm up water. Works ok!

Great 5 gal bucket heater
I needed 115 degrees controlled. I used the ITC-308 with this blanket and its wonderful.. I dont like the strap for making it tight I use a latching strap to snug it up. I just dont over do it.

Nice Heating Blanket
This heater blanket works very well. I use it to heat up buckets of crystallized honey and t gets the job done in about 1.5 days.
–
Awesome Product!
This thing is exactly what I have been looking for. The POWERBLANKET heats up to a perferct temp allowing me to go about my day, and not be worried the shop is going to burn to the ground leaving the jugs unattended. If you need to thaw a bucket and thaw it fast without loss from evaporation this heater is “THE ONE”!
–
This does a great job!
I was really hoping this would work to keep my soap batter at a certain temperature, for easier handling and it does the trick! I haven’t tried it to melt butters and such, but I will. So far, it’s been a great purchase

Good heater
“I bought 2 of these for copper and nickel plating and they worked really well. So I bought a third one to be able to pre-heat my degreaser bath. Sadly the third one didn’t heat very well at all, thought maybe there was a break in period but after 2 weeks it still wasn’t anywhere close to the other two. I got a replacement coming, no harm no foul.
It’s not going to boil the water, as long as the container is closed it should heat it up to at least 100 or so degrees.”

Very happy with purchase
This heated up my product overnight and has saved so much time for me! Very happy!!!! 5 star definitely.

It works as described
It’s kind of slow and you need to stir the honey to get it to work or use a second heat pad heating pad on the bottom. It does preserve the raw honey rating as it doesn’t get over 100 degrees Fahrenheit

Does what it says
Works very well to warm up Fluid Film/Woolwax to spray on cooler days. I used this to allow the woolwax to thin out and make easier to spray, Just plug in before bed and in the morning the woolwax pours and sprays easily.
