Powerblanket’s 5x9 Ground Thawing Heated Blanket is designed for quick and efficient ground thawing, offering an effective solution to thaw frozen ground, pre-heat concrete before pouring, keep vehicle or equipment engines warm, and safely melt ice and snow from various outdoor surfaces. Moreover, this ground thaw blanket delivers higher watt density and hotter temperatures than typical concrete curing blankets, providing rapid and uniform heat across its entire surface.

Additionally, with a rapid-thaw ground heating blanket, you have a maintenance-free heating solution that reduces downtime, improves efficiency, and saves on costs. It can be heated to a preset of 150 °F ± 10 °F / 65 °C ±5 °C. Notably, it melts snow and ice from roofs, walkways, and construction areas. A heated ground thawing blanket achieves higher heat control when combined with an adjustable or fixed thermostatic controller.

Thermal Rating Classes

5’x9’ ground thawing heated blankets come in two different thermal rating classes:
  • Powerblanket - designed for any definitive heating applications, surrounded by a rugged vinyl shell, safely raises material temperatures as high as 145 F and can be used in temperatures as low as -20 F
  • Powerblanket Xtreme - designed for harsh climates, surrounded by a rugged vinyl shell, safely raises material temperatures as high as 145 F and can be used in temperatures as low as -20 F

Furthermore, our ground thawing blankets are insulated, water-resistant, and ETL-certified to UL, CSA, and CE safety standards, ensuring safe and efficient use.

  • Heats to a preset 100°F ± 10°F / 65.5°C ±5°C

Why Choose Powerblanket Ground Thawing & Curing Blankets?

Key Benefits of Using Powerblanket for Ground Thawing and Concrete Curing

    * The thermostatic controller option allows for adjustable heat control, ensuring optimal temperatures.

    * Insulated construction reduces heat loss, making it ideal for use as a thermal blanket for concrete or as part of your ground thawing equipment.

    * Rugged and durable design for repeated use in thawing applications, including concrete curing, outdoor heat blanket needs, and ground insulation blankets.

    * Reduces cold weather-related downtime, saving time, money, and labor in construction or outdoor work.

    * Designed to ensure even heat distribution and reduce the risk of damage to sensitive materials.

    * Easy to use and safe, with outdoor heated blanket capabilities for various applications.

    Curing Epoxy Resins

Curing epoxy resins with Powerblanket is easy and efficient! Most epoxy resin and hardener combinations require heat in order to cure because ambient temperatures are often not high enough. If the epoxy resins are not heated evenly or to the proper temperature, their chemical, mechanical, and heat resistance properties may become compromised. In fact, some epoxy resins require heating in steps to prevent overheating from exothermic reactions.

Here's How Powerblanket Can Make Your Epoxy Curing Process Easier:

Ground Thawing Blankets Used For Curing Epoxy and Resin

Using Powerblanket curing blankets for epoxy resins ensures even heating for optimal curing. Heat is critical for proper curing since ambient temperatures may not suffice. Uneven heat can compromise the properties of the epoxy. Therefore, Powerblanket provides uniform heat for consistent curing, preventing overheating and enhancing durability.

Benefits of using these blankets for epoxy curing:

    * Maintain optimal resin temperatures with even heat spreading.
    * Preheat molds efficiently before resin application.
    * Heat critical materials safely, preventing damage and ensuring quality results.
